Zanna, Don't - Lighting Design
My design concept was informed first by Director C.T. Steele’s request that the show be as “glam rock”, as colorful, and as creative as possible. This led to an enormous amount of scrolled backlight and sidelight with patterns. My choice of pattern on these lights was in order to match the set. We then put cyc lights on the rear wall of the set, covering it in brilliant pinks, purples, blues, and greens. In order to make the costumes pop, we included color washes over the stage. The frontlight was two- angle with a cool blue and violet.
